Welcome to Phoenix rotors

Phoenix Rotors was formed in August '03. We are a helicopter only club, many of us having come from aero modelling clubs that were dominated by fixed wing pilots.
After a long search for a suitable site from which to fly, club members now have year round access to a large grass field close to the village of Farnsfield near Nottingham and we are currently open to new members.

The flying site is within easy reach of amenities with good access and parking

Fully BMFA-affiliated, Phoenix Rotors is a friendly group of enthusiasts for model helicopter flying. The club currently has a range of members who fly RC helicopters regularly at both sites. Members often meet up on a Tuesday night at the Arnold working men's club in Nottingham to fly up to 450 electric indoor helicopters. We have our own instructors and a BMFA heli test examiner and like to help people to assemble, set up, and fly their machines.
